How to integrate MarketplaceAdvisor Premium with Shipworks
This page describes the process that you'll be following to connect Shipworks to MarketplaceAdvisor Premium to process your shipping. We've broken out the phases below, so please take a moment to review the entire page. This way you'll have a complete overview of what is to come.
Stage 1 - Download and Install Shipworks |

Stage 2 - Request your API credentials from Channeladvisor

| | Once you complete the previous step, you will be sent an email containing the information you need to configure Shipworks. The email will contain information similar to the text below, but pertaining to your account: If you already have Shipworks installed and have completed the setup wizard, you may skip to Step 12 in the instructions from the email. If you have just downloaded Shipworks and are configuring API access while going through the setup wizard, please begin at step 1. Please note that this is an EXAMPLE email below. | | Hello, This e-mail is designed to return your ChannelAdvisor API credentials. These API credentials are used by the ShipWorks application to update ChannelAdvisor with shipping status once a package has been processed. Here are the credentials: Your Company Name XML API Username: 00000000 XML API Password: uqepmshch Here are the steps you need to perform to get started using ShipWorks. Already installed ShipWorks? Skip to Step 12. - Download the latest version of ShipWorks: http://www.interapptive.com/shipworks/download.php
- Double click the ShipWorks installer file to install ShipWorks. Follow the instructions on screen to install ShipWorks and the MSDE database.
- You will be prompted to reboot your computer.
- After rebooting your PC, double click the ShipWorks icon to launch the program.
- Proceed through the ShipWorks setup wizard where you will be prompted to enter information about your ChannelAdvisor Merchant account.
- On the first page of the setup wizard, you will be prompted for ProfileID, Username, and Password. Click the link to find how to get the ProfileID.
- The Username and Password you enter here will be the same username and password you use to login to Merchant every day.
- This username must have permissions to download Checkout Reports.
- During the setup wizard, you will also be prompted to enter optional credentials for updating shipment status to ChannelAdvisor.
- Check the box to enable updating ChannelAdvisor with shipment information and enter your XML API credentials provided above.
- Continue through the ShipWorks setup wizard, then enter into ShipWorks where you can begin downloading and working with orders.
- If you have already completed the ShipWorks setup wizard before receiving this e-mail, choose Manage - Manage Stores - ChannelAdvisor.
- Check the box for (Enable updating ChannelAdvisor with shipment information).
- Enter your XML API Username and XML API Username and Password information provided above.

Adding Channeladvisor as an additional store in Shipworks | | | During your migration phase from another listing provider to Channeladvisor, you may choose to integrate Shipworks with both providers simutaneously. This may prove helpful in the beginning of your implementation as you phase out your old provider and start receiving orders from our software. In these cases, some clients choose to utilize the 'Add a Store' feature in Shipworks. To 'Add a Store', perform the following steps in the Shipworks software: - Choose 'Manage -> Manage Stores'
- Press the '+' icon in the upper right side of the window. This will initiate the 'Add a Store' Wizard
- The wizard configuration steps that come next depend on your store type. Choose 'Channeladvisor'
- Enter the ProfileID of your ChannelAdvisor account and your account username and password.
- Configure ShipWorks with the regional settings of your ChannelAdvisor account, which are time zone, date format, and weight units.
- ShipWorks is able to update shipment information back to ChannelAdvisor when a shipment ships. For this to work, you must obtain and enter a ChannelAdvisor XML API username and password.
- Enter the number of days in the past ShipWorks should look for checkout reports when downloading orders for the first time
