Getting Started on Overstock Shopping for New MarketplaceAdvisor Premium Users

This page describes the training plan that you'll undertake as you begin to expand on your knowlege of our software and begin to list to Overstock.com. The process leverages on-line movies, tutorials, and question & answer sessions with members of our Customer Launch Team. It also relies heavily on your involvement as the actual setup of the system will be done by you and perhaps members of your team. Think of us as your learning facilitators!

We have broken out the fundamental steps below. Please take a moment to review all of the pages so that you have a solid understanding of the entire process..

As a new user, you will want to start by reviewing our MarketplaceAdvisor tutorials by clicking here. These tutorials will teach you how to manage your inventory in the MarketplaceAdvisor platform. When you have completed these tutorials then you can proceed with the following steps to complete the setup.

1. Create Overstock specific inventory data.

Option A: Use the bulk inventory sheets. (Recommended)

Option B: Use the application to enter the attributes, attribute data, and Overstock label

2. Setup Overstock as a New Site

3. Setting up the Overstock Shopping Template (Feed)

4. Create and Send the Overstock Feed

5. Viewing your Item Status

6. Overstock Shipping Guidlines

7. Viewing your Overstock Sales

8. How to process Overstock Returns

Implementation Calls

The following is an outline of the agendas for each call you will have with your Implementation Manager. These calls are primarly used to help address issues or questions you have about the setup. They are not intended to be working sessions. You should be working through each step of this guide before and between scheduled calls.

Overview Call

Agenda:

  • Review the steps of the Getting Started Guide
  • Discuss issues or questions you have about the setup and the process

After this call you will continue to work on your inventory setup and setting up the feed in the ShoppingAdvisor interface.

Sales & Shipping

Before this call, you will need to have setup your inventory and at least be able to preview your feed that will be going to Overstock.

Agenda:

  • Review Sales and Shipping setup
  • Discuss issues or question you have around inventory setup, previews and submissions.
Wrap-Up & Transition

Before this call, your items must be live on Overstock.com and you must have at least one sale in the system.

Agenda:

  • Address any final setup questions you have.
  • Introduction and transition to your Corporate Account Manager here at ChannelAdvisor
