Hi,
Given that CA support cases are not being at all helpful, hoping the forum will be.
We have removed a lot of products from our system and need to take them off of CA and thus Amazon to do this we've been told to do the following steps
1 - I upload a spreadsheet to remove the Amazon label from the listing, this is fine and removes the label and takes the format:
Inventory Number Labels
5157-001-bk -Amazon Seller Central - UK
5157-001-bk15 -Amazon Seller Central - UK
5157-001-bk20 -Amazon Seller Central - UK
5157-001-bk25 -Amazon Seller Central - UK
5157-001-bk30 -Amazon Seller Central - UK
This works and removes the label selected, the product still appears in Amazon
2 - Upload a Bulk Action delete sheet to remove the product, this errors and complains the products are still listed:
Identifier Action
5157-001-bk DELETESKU
5157-001-bk15 DELETESKU
5157-001-bk20 DELETESKU
5157-001-bk25 DELETESKU
5157-001-bk30 DELETESKU
CA reports the error "On item 1: The specified action (DELETESKU) cannot be performed on the specified SKU (5157-001-bk) because the item is currently listed on a channel"
3 - I upload a speadsheet to remove the All Product label from the product, this is fine and removes the label
4 - I try the delete again listing bulk action and get the same errors
5 - I try the bulk action for Withdraw listing and get:
"An error occurred while withdrawing one or more of your ads from a marketplace. It is possible that the ad was not live when the withdrawal occurred."
6 - I try the delete again and get the usual errors for deletion.
7 - I wait for a hour or so, try the delete again and this time it deletes some of the lines but not all
8 - Wait another 30 mins try the delete again and it finally removes all from CA
At all points and currently it's still in Amazon, whats going on!
It's removing the label and not deleting the product eventually, is there a delay between the two and why oh why doesnt it delete it from Amazon!
I've 2,000 lines to remove and cant afford to have to check each line to make sure CA is doing what it's supposed to, at the moment it's not removing 5 products.
Any help appreciated.

Andy,
Step 1 Remove labels. It sounds like this is working. After removing the labels there needs to be a sync to/with Amazon to pull those listings down. I believe these syncs are pretty often (15 minutes or so).
Another thing to note about removing labels: If you are using a filter to generate the label, the next time the label recalculates it can add those skus back to the label!
Step 2 Delete Skus. It sounds like your skus are still being listed on other marketplaces (possibly other than Amazon). These could be listed on a premium store, pixmania, Buy.com, etc. The system will not let you delete skus that are live. Check the Channel Allocation view for more details on where a specific sku is listed.
2 more things I can suggest:
One is to 'block' all the skus you are trying to delete. You can do this with a bulk action spreadsheet upload similar to the delete sku upload you are using. Blocking a sku should also pull it down from it's listings and will prevent it from going back out if the label recalculates.
Last is to set your available quantity to a negative number. This should also pull down any listings and will prevent them from going back up.
Hopefully one of these methods will help you out. Sorry for your frustrating experience.
Chris
Hi Chris,
Thanks - ok sounds like the 15mins is the thing causing the initial deleting problems and these ones are just listed in Amazon, although after the 15 mins they are still in Amazon
As far as using filers, not sure if this is the case - I dont think so there are uploaded with the inventory item when they first go up. Assuming I just need to take them out of the Amazon label and not All Products?
Tried blocking the sku in the past, so will try that one again, again at that point it didn't remove it
I'll Also try putting -1 in the quantity although these all feel like a fudge, why oh why cant there be a "DELETEALL" option which removes the products from every market place and CA in one go, seems a bit silly having to do it in 2-3 stages each time.

Hi Chris,
So bulk uploaded the label removal and done a bulk action block - and the products are still there.
There must be an actual answer for how to get products out of Amazon enmass - guesswork is not helping and getting us very annoyed, it's taken 2 weeks and a complete lack of helpful responses from the support team (who are obviously in the US so take 24hrs to get a barely helpful reply from)
Sorry but we've gotten to the end of our patience with this issue and need ACTUAL help with steps we can follow to resolve this, guessing and "waiting some time" for amazon to update isnt helpful
Andy
Roger,
I will personally look at your account today and see if we can determine what is going on.

Andy-
I see that all 4 child products were withdrawn from Amazon yesterday (6/26) at 10:31 AM ET. Can you tell me if you are still having an issue here? By the way, when we withdraw a product from Amazon we set the quantity to zero - we do not actually delete the product in case you decide to sell it again.
Let me know if I can help further.
Wes
Hi Guys,
No I had to delete those ones manually yesteday - the one I've uploaded today still havnt come down having
1 - Removed the labels via an inventory sheet upload (this did remove the labels in CA sucessfully)
2 - Put up a bulk action upload to BLOCKSKU on the same products, this again blocked them in CA sucessfully and they ar still in Amazon
The products are already inactive and at 0 in Amazon, we want to actually remove the item from Amazon completely not to just not sell it.
Andy
Roger,
I think I understand what you are seeing and where the miscommunication is coming from. ChannelAdvisor will never DELETE an item from Amazon, when we submit it for withdrawal we set the quantity to zero. That said, it should not stop you from deleting the SKU in your ChannelAdvisor inventory so if you are still having trouble getting a SKU to delete in ChannelAdvisor please update your support case with additional examples that have not been manually adjusted so we can track what the system is doing.
Thank you,
Jennifer
