We have been having the same problem over and over again on our account. We keep seeing this error: eBay responded with the message: Code: 21916884 Short Message: Item condition required Long Message: Condition is required for this category. I understand that this error means that eBay is telling us that we inputted either the wrong condition for the particular category the product is in or we did not input a product condition. However, not only do we input a condition we generally input the correct condition. For example, we have an iPod Accessory which we listed as being "Used" eBay says that we can list Electronics items as being "Used" yet ChannelAdvisor still gives us an error. I know that eBay has changed many of its product conditions however when I see that we did everything correctly and we still get an error gets me a bit confused.
Any suggestions???
Make sure that a condition is selected on your posting template in the Condition field just below the pricing information. The error from eBay is saying that there is no value specified in this condition field and thus that they cannot list the item without that information. Some categories do not allow certain conditions, so it could be that you're submitting a condition that isn't allowed in that category. While New and Used are allowed in most all categories, some of the others are limited. I believe the refurbished, like new, and for parts would be allowed in the various consumer electronics categories, but sometimes eBay makes changes to individual categories for little or no reason.
If you have the condition specified and you are still getting the errors, please leave everything about that ad and posting template alone and open a support case so we can look at the underlying information.

Thanks for your quick reply. I opened a support case yesterday as our listings error out even if we input the correct condition and all of the condition fields are filled out. My one question is - what field does eBay look at when we submit the condition information? I was under the impression they looked at the field titled "Item Condition" that is located farther down within the CA template.

This error is specifically the Condition field that is at the top section of the posting template. Any condition field that is shown in the Item Specifics section is old and is not what eBay will use when processing for the Condition value and they just ignore anything that might be submitted there.
If you are submitting anything other than "New" or "Used" you might want to change to use one of those two options as appropriate. Unfortunately, different categories allow different condition values instead of being consistent across the entire eBay site so your category in question may not allow one of the other values if you're trying to send that as the Condition. Then eBay would drop it as not allowed and error because no condition was specified (a little weird, I know).
