I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but if you have some words of wisdom it would be greatly appreciated.
I had gone through our entire inventory and ensured that the "available" column in inventory veiw read as 0 for all of our inventory. Then we applied the schedule to all of our products. We have items that are closing due to selling out on ebay. Some reason the available quantity is populating with a positive number, even through it should be reading as 0. When the schedule turns on, these products are relisting.
Has anyone else had this issue? How do I rectify it?
Thanks
Sharon
It sounds as though you're confusing Available Quantity with Total Quantity. Once the auction ends the quantity that was live then goes into Available Quantity. At that point, your schedule tells it to list again. This is of course completely dependent on how you have everything setup. There are a bunch of setting that can effect the way that this operates.
In my experience I have found it easiest to not fight the system. If you don't want an item to list then block it. From what I remember, you can only block items and not ads (that makes a big difference). Your total quantity should be what you actually have in stock, unless you're running a small test. Test out your changes on small batches of inventory before you execute it on everything. First make it on one item, check it, then make it on 10 random items, check them, then make the changes on all your items, and then check a random batch. It may sound like alot of work, but once you learn the system and execute the changes, there's very little more work to do until eBay makes a system change without telling anyone. :)
Good luck!

If your avaialble quantity is 0 nothing should be posting to eBay. However if your total is greater than 0 there is always a chance. For example, if you have an open listing with a quantity of 5. The total is 5, available is 0, but when that listing ends the 5 unsold will be added back to available. Or if you have a sale that gets cancelled the quantity can get added back. The safest way to be sure is to make sure your total is 0 or to block the products. Be aware that setting the total to 0 can pull down any open listings.
