While on the CA platform we find system "features" that should be addressed and report them using the "Feedback" link in the top righthand corner of the screen (i.e. I can't find the spell check feature on this screen right now and I know that there used to be one). Does ChannelAdvisor get those feedback messages? Do they record the URL that we're on when we send the messages?
I was just wondering if we should have a different approach to getting these system features changed.
Thanks,
Peter K
Yes, we do. When you leave a message through the feedback link it's logged with the page you were on, the account you were using, and who submitted it. That helps us figure out the context of what some people mean if they just send a really brief message.
If you submit one regarding any of the eBay functionality, they usually end up coming to me and I'll often send a response directly to the person. Sometimes I can point people to existing functionality that will do what they want and other times we've added new elements because of those requests. One just came in recently about a "delete all" function on the Errored Listings page, and I pointed the user to our new Listing Errors view (see the link on the Errored Listings page and check it out if you haven't already) where the rollup of the error messages allows them to do just that. We've got more improvements planned there that will help even more. I can't speak to the other people in other areas (I just coordinate things for eBay systems), but I know they all get read.
As to the change on the SSC editor, that was an upgrade applied last week to make it easier to use and more consistent with some other components. I'd noticed some changes as well and have already sent some feedback regarding improvements, so I know they're also interested to hear that feedback. I just read through all of the messages from the past three weeks and don't see any about the SSC in that list so make sure you submit one.
