Using the new ebay checkout.  Does the automatic MPB FVF credit feature work the same?

We seem to be getting a lot of the following in CA:

Dispute Status: Dispute Filing In Progress
Last Modified: 6/15/11 5:10 AM
Dispute Creation: Pending
Credit Filing: Scheduled

AND

Dispute Status: Dispute Filing Error - No automatic retry
Last Modified: 6/8/11 11:10 AM
Dispute Creation: Error - Dispute not created
Credit Filing: Not Scheduled

And have not seen any NPB disputes filed sucessfully or automatically since we transitioned to ebay checkout.

Yes, it works the same.  If you have enabled or are using the UPI Assistant at eBay, they will reject any request we send to process UPI information and will only do it on their own schedule as part of your UPI Assistant options.  Thus, that will cause an error when we try to file the UPI, but whenever eBay opens it as part of the UPI Assistant that information will be detected and imported into your account.

RE: ebay checkout and filing for NPB FVF Credit

i met the same situation, i checked my settings on eBay, i did use the the UPI Assistant at eBay, is show at CA:
Dispute Status:  Dispute Filing Error - No automatic retry
Dispute Creation: Error - Dispute not created
    Credit Filing:     Not Scheduled
If the checkout was canceled in CA and used the UPI Assistant at eBay, will the UPI Assistant at eBay work?

If you use the UPI Assistant at eBay, we are prevented from filing the dispute on your behalf so you'll get the error when we try if you left the automatic processing on in your CA account.  (You can see that message by hovering on the red "1" in the eBay Unpaid Items view.)  When the dispute is opened by the UPI Assistant at eBay, we'll see that it's been opened and update the status accordingly in your account.  We just have to wait on that when you use the UPI Assistant, and I know that eBay's automatic schedule makes you wait a lot longer to open the dispute than we do.  If you want your items processed faster, I'd suggest turning off the eBay UPI Assistant and using the CA automation instead.  If you're going to keep the eBay UPI Assistant, then turn off the CA option so you don't get those extra error messages.

If the checkout was canceled in CA and used the UPI Assistant at eBay, will the UPI Assistant at eBay still work?

Based on what we've got available here in the thread, I'm unable to determine what might have happened or an appropriate course of action beyond what I put int he prior post.  If you still have questions, I recommend you open a support case and point to the exact order where you have a question so we can look at your specific data and give you feedback relevant to your situation.

In general, you should not manually cancel an order.  You should let that complete automatically after the dispute is closed at eBay and the buyer is no longer given the option to complete checkout.  If you cancel it before then, the buyer may complete checkout that is still available at eBay and you will get an account alert that the transaction information could not be imported.  You can use either the CA Unpaid Item process or the eBay UPI Assistant to file and complete the disputes, and both will work just fine.
