We are in the process of revising all of our listings. They all have combined shipping discounts and we have set up a promotional shipping rule in eBay. The Promotional shipping rule has only worked on a few listings. The vast majority do not have the promotional shipping rule when you click on the shipping tab on the item in eBay. Also when you click revise the item in eBay it shows an unchecked box next to "apply my promotional shipping rule". This seems odd because when we created the rule it said it would be automatically applied to all of our listings in eBay that have a combined shipping discount. Is there anyway that ChannelAdvisor can bulk change all of our listings so that they offer the promotional shipping rule we have set up? Does it just take a long time for this rule to show up on the listings?
The option needed to be enabled at the time the items were listed in order for the rule to work when enabled at eBay. You're probably seeing that it is working on newer listings that went up after the option was enabled on your posting template and not working on those that went up before it was checked.
We do have something available that could go through those open listings and update them to have the promotional shipping option on them -- just write into support, reference this forum thread, and we'll see if we can get something that'll work for you.

Okay...I believe I found your account information and I've gotten the listings updated accordingly. You should see the notation for promotional shipping on your eBay listings now.

We have a similar problem. It sounds like we need to ask for a refresh of our listings also, but I was wondering - if you do that, will it 'reset' the listing with eBay and drop the history that it's carried over (and over) for best matching?

You can revise all your listings with our new auto-revise feature, and it will keep the existing listing (and history) as is.

I don't believe the auto-revse feature would work in this case. We are not actually revising anything in the listing that is sent from ChannelAdvisor. Rather, we want the listing(s) to pick up the promotional shipping discount that we've created on eBay. Just to be clear, this is not a shipping discount that has a profile ID. This is a promotional discount that is supposed to apply to every listing on eBay, regardless of shipping profile. However, it does not work on all of them, and when I came across this post it appeared that someone else was having the same issue. It sounds like there was an idea for a fix, so I'm trying to see if that would work for us.

Are you referring to a promotion set up using the Seller Marketing Engine (SME) on eBay? Those promotions will be applied at the order and should be pulled in with net values for your order processing management. Remember that ChannelAdvisor only pulls in orders for items were listed via the software, although I doubt that is an issue for you. If you are still having issues and have examples the best approach is to submit a support case so it can be investigated.

This is a promotion set up on eBay in the shipping settings (under account/site preferences). We did open a ticket once, but they tried telling us we had to have a profile ID and enter it in the eBay template. However, this is not a shipping profile - there is no profile number. This is a shipping promotion that is supposed to apply to all listings: (see bottom of print screen below)
My current theory is that it won't "take" the promotion while we keep using the relist feature, but I don't want to lose our history for best matching or the cheaper relist cost if something didn't sell.
Oh, and all our eBay items are listed through CA.

In order for that to work, you need to make sure the option on your posting template is selected to allow the promotional shipping discount to be applied for domestic and/or international buyers (two different checkboxes to select from). That's what makes it visible on the eBay listing when you have one configured and enabled at eBay. If you don't have these selected, then the eBay listing does not allow those promotional shipping elements to display on the item.
If you are using "Revise Listings", then when you edit your posting template, select that option, and save then all of the existing open listings that use that posting template will be updated to add that option to them and start showing it to buyers. Note that when using promotional shipping the buyers are ONLY given that option if they qualify and do not have any ability to select an expedited method of shipping, even if they would like to pay additional. That's an eBay limitation of the promotional shipping functionality.

I would recommend you create a support case so we can track the issue and figure out what's happening. There are so many possibilities that it's going to be something that needs more investigation and research to figure out the right resolution.
