Is anyone having any issues with AdCenter ads being dissaproved?  We contacted their support and they were unable to give us the reason, they have their approval team looking into it.  They suggested that it could have something to do with the tracking.searchmarketing urls from Channle Advisor.  Hopefully they will get back to us tomorrow regarding the exact cause of the issue.  Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks,

Michael

RE: AdCenter Ads Dissaproved

Hi Michael,

Ads can disapproved for a lot of reasons, but our tracking URLs shouldn't usually cause any problems. Typically, ads are disapproved for editorial reasons like punctuation problems, trademark violations, and in some instances, inappropriate content.

If you log in to Microsoft adCenter, and go to Tools > Disapproved Ads and Keywords, you should get a list of the disapproved ads and the reasons that Microsoft disapproved them. If there is something there that you need help with, post back to this thread, and I'll try to help.

Warm regards,
Jason

RE: AdCenter Ads Dissaproved

Hi James,

Thank you for your reply.  All of our ads had gone into a disapproved state.  No changes had been made to them in quite a while.  The tool in AdCenter which was supposed to show the disapproval reason was not working.  When I called AdCenter support, they we unable to tell me the reason either.  They had to escalate the issue and create an appeal to their approval team.

I just got a follow up call from support at Adcenter.  Apparently it was the redirection on the tracking.searchmarketing url which had caused all of our ads to be disapproved.  They did allow an exception and our ads are now once again active.

Regards,

Michael

RE: AdCenter Ads Dissaproved

Microsoft shouldn't be disapproving ads with the redirects. We've been using them for years without problems and many other providers use tracking URLs. I'd like to follow up with Microsoft directly. What is your adCenter account number (feel free to email me privately if you prefer)

Thanks,
Jason
