Hi guys

Have an issue with my quantity which keeps changing, i have set up 2 variation listings from inventory, with correct quantities pulled from our accounting package, had an issue with putting up the variations but once that was sorted the quantities started increasing, and i have no idea where it is getting this figure from. when i go to correct it, it is fine for a while then changes back to  this unkown quantity. it isnt added just one or two but 600 + which just isnt the quantity we have. anyone any ideas? have raised this issue with C/A but would like to know if anyone else had same problem and how they resolved it.

cheers

RE: Quantity keeps changing

When a listing is submitted to eBay, quantity is taken from the "available" pool and moved to "open".  When they close, the unsold quantity is moved from "open" back to "available".  The aggregate totals (every field except for Available), as shown on the Products view page are updated with the new details, but not always immediately.  Since Available is updated immediately with the change that happens (to make sure we keep track of all the quantities and prevent an oversell) and the others may lag by a short time, you may be seeing it in that interventing timeframe before all of the numbers are updated.  We're working on making those numbers more consistent and updated more quickly, but that could be something that you're seeing especially since you describe it as changing again later.  If the numbers are instead getting to an incorrect value and staying there and there are no eBay listings starting or ending around that time, there's likely a different inventory quantity update happening of which you're not aware.  If that is using an inappropriate Quantity Update Type you can see the quantity values become something substantially different from what you might expect.
