How To

Account Shipping Zone Options

Using Account Ship-To Zones settings, you can create a list of the destinations to which you will ship your products. You can group the countries, states and provinces that you ship to together into "Zones" that will allow you to specify shipping rates for similar locales. Only the countries and their enabled states, provinces and regions that you have enabled and assigned to a Zone will be displayed as shipping desitnation choices to buyers in the Checkout.

A shipping zone may be an entire country, grouping of countries or a grouping of areas (states, provinces or regions) within a country that are in close proximity to one another.  For example, this image shows the world with the United States as Zone 1, Canada as Zone 2, the continent of Europe as Zone 3 and the continent of Asia as Zone 4. In ChannelAdvisor, each zone specified can be charged a separate shipping rate.  So if your warehouse is located in the United States, you can charge one shipping rate to ship an item to anywhere in the United States, and another higher rate to ship that same item to Europe because they are assigned to different zones.

Your account is enabled with a default of two zones, Domestic and International, but you can create additional zones as necessary. Or you may choose to delete these default zones and create your own custom zone list.

Need to be able to create a seperate zone for PO Box addresses

Currently, there isn't a way to separate PO Box addresses into a different zone, or to charge an an additional handling rate. Because PO Box addresses are only indicated by the street address instead of the state menu option, the system currently does not detect and separate zones based on the street address line. We really need to be able to set different shipping prices for PO Boxes.
