Assigning Labels via the User Interface

In order for a label to be utilized to segment your inventory or to push your products out to the various channels you are selling on you will need to assign the label to your designated inventory. This can be done via the user interface or in bulk via spreadsheet . To get a full overview of this process please see the Using Labels page.

How to Assign Labels via the User Interface


Complete the following steps related to this task:

  1. Navigate to your Inventory > Products > All Products - Beta view.
  2. Select inventory items that you would like to assign labels to.
  3. Click the Labels button at the top of the list.
  4. Click Assign Labels.
  5. Select the appropriate label or labels to be added.
  6. Click Save to save your selection and to return to the previous screen.

 

How to Assign Labels Using a Filter


A label using a filter is updated according to the Calculation Schedule. If you need to update it immediately, complete the following steps related to this task:

  1. Navigate to Inventory > Grouping > Labels.
  2. Click on the label.
  3. Ensure that an advanced filter is being used. This is the case if a filter is selected in the Filter drop-down menu. Otherwise it would say None.
  4. Click the More button at the top.
  5. Select Calculate Now.

Note: Manual assignments to a label (such as adding the label through an upload) take priority over the advanced filter.
