Getting Started with Basic Webstores
ChannelAdvisor Webstores helps you to build your brand outside of your marketplace presence. With easy storefront setup and seamless inventory and order integration, you can sell your products easily across multiple channels. Webstores offers benefits like item meta descriptions, multiple images per item, product variations, variation pricing, unrestricted HTML editing on product description, and unlimited number of categories and many more. ChannelAdvisor encourages you to grow your business using our Webstores product. We have complied these documents to help you enhance your store using our tools so that your store provides an additional source of income. Follow the steps below to configure your Webstore. Steps to Get Started with Basic WebstoresBelow are the steps to complete in order to setup your basic webstore in ChannelAdvisor. Step 1: Complete the Setup WizardNavigate to your Webstores > Basic Webstore > Setup Wizard view and complete the following steps within the wizard:

Step 2: Assign Inventory to Basic WebstoreAfter you have completed the Store wizard and set up your Store categories, you must assign inventory to your Store. Inventory is assigned to the Store from the Store Inventory tab. It is not necessary to assign a schedule, ad template or posting template to an item to list it in your Store.
All items that are currently in their Store will display the icon in the Store Inventory view. Step 4: Configure ChannelAdvisor CheckoutA Checkout is used to collect buyer shipping and payment information, and process payment for buyers to complete their purchases. Defining your Checkout Settings will be one of the first tasks you should do after purchasing the ChannelAdvisor application. Using these settings you can define checkout options and features used by buyers to complete their purchases. Whenever possible, the recommended default values have already been configured in your account. For additional information please view the ChannelAdvisor Checkout page. Step 5: Improve Your Webstore DesignWebstore Design is important to increasing the usiblity of your store and as a result increasing sales. Customizing your design in a ChannelAdvisor store is not that difficult if you have some guidelines to work from. Having a good understanding of HTML will also be required. Step 6: Setup Your Store Domain NameThe best practice for natural search / search engine optimization (SEO) is to contact your domain name provider (example: godaddy.com) and redirect your domain name (www.mystore.com) to your ChannelAdvisor store.
