Updating Orders for NetDespatch

Your orders have to be in a "pending shipment" status for the NDI to detect them and send them to NetDespatch. The following steps explain how to update your unshipped orders accordlingy on a daily basis.

 

Prerequisites


 

Day to Day Running


  1. Within your ChannelAdvisor account, navigate to Sales > Orders/Transactions > Orders.

  2. Select orders that are paid and unshipped and click on Status.

  3. You will then see the following screen. Simply select Order Pending Shipped under the Shipping Status and click Update Orders.

  4. The orders that were selected will then be picked up by the NDI software. The details of the order will be sent to the Carrier via NetDespatch, the tracking number (if a tracked service was used) will then be returned into ChannelAdvisor and the order will be marked as Shipped automatically. The label will print too.

 

Troubleshooting


Royal Mail international shipments require the dimensions of a product i.e. length, width and height. Please provide these values in the inventory details of your products if you plan to ship internationally.

To minimize manual involvement the integration assumes that the largest item size in an order (based on the ChannelAdvisor data) is the size of the package.

If there are multiple quantities in an order, the shipment should be booked manually.

In the unlikely event that no label prints (after an order is selected as order pending shipment) then please follow the checklist below before contacting ChannelAdvisor support:

  1. Has the order been marked as Order Pending Shipped?
  2. Click into an order and click into the Site Order ID for the order, note down the Distribution Center / requested Shipping Carrier and Class.

    Cross-reference these with the Carrier and Class mappings setup in the NDI. If they are missing then please feel free to add the mappings in.
  3. Ensure the Sync Schedule is set up and Active.
  4. If the label still doesn’t print then please log a support case .
