Configuring Feed Settings

This step in the process is where you can configure the settings that your feed will run on.

If creating the Feed for the first time, you will follow the guide to configure the Feed.

Edit an existing Feed

You can access Feed Setup from any Feed.

  1. In ChannelAdvisor, navigate to Digital Marketing > Marketing Management > Feeds. 
  2. Click the Feeds tab.
  3. Find the feed you would like to edit, and click the Feed name to edit. 
  4. In the Feed Setup, select Settings. 
  5. Make changes to your settings as needed:
    1. Schedule
    2. Provider Account Manager Information
    3. Provider Estimated Cost
  6. Click Save.

 

Assign a Schedule

You have the ability to determine when your feed is sent and when to stop sending your feed by completing the schedule section of your settings. 

  • Send Feed At (Mandatory) - Select the time of day that your feed will be sent out on a daily basis.
  • Start Date and End Date (Optional) -  Provide a start and end date for your feed to begin and stop running.
  • Weekly and Monthly Feeds - Schedule any feed to run weekly or monthly.


Enter Provider Account Manager Information

This information can be used to contact a Provider Representative if needed, troubleshoot issues. This information is optional, but recommended.

 

Enter Provider Estimated Cost

Estimated Cost is a value used to approximate the costs for Providers that do not send Actual Cost Data.  The rate information entered here will be used for Performance and Reporting information. Below is a summary of the values in this section:

  • Cost Per Click - This is the value to use for estimated cost.
     
  • Click-to-Pixel Hit Ratio - This value indicates the ratio of clicks that occurred based on the number of pixel hits registered by ChannelAdvisor.  This value is pre-set by ChannelAdvisor to 100% and is not recommended to be changed unless you have a solid understanding of differences in clicks and pixel hits.  Learn more about the Click-to-Pixel Hit Ratio.

  • Starting Date - This will be the starting date for the Cost Per Click estimated value to be used. The date must be greater than or equal to today's date or left blank. If left blank, this value will default to today's date.  Historical rates cannot be changed.
     
  • Ending Date - This is the last date the Cost Per Click estimated value designated above will be used. The date must be greater than or equal to today's date and greater than the Starting Date. If left blank, the Cost Per Click estimated cost designated will be used until a new value is entered.
     
  • Existing Rates -This is a list of the current and future estimated cost rates that have been entered for this provider. A rate highlighted in yellow is the current effective estimated cost rate. A rate highlighted in green is the rate searched for using the Determine a rate on a given day value. Determine a rate on a given day can be used to determine which estimated cost rate will be used for a given date.
