Designating SKUs for FBA

In order to use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) in conjunction with ChannelAdvisor, you must add and activate the FBA Distribution Center (DC) for your Amazon channel and send your FBA inventory to Amazon.

How to Designate SKUs for FBA

  1. Add the FBA Distribution Center
    • From Amazon > Amazon Settings edit your Externally-Managed Distribution Center (FBA) section.
    • In this section, select and save the appropriate FBA Distribution Center (e.g. Amazon FBA US).
       
  2. Assign the FBA Distribution Center to your Amazon Channel
    • Go to Inventory >Settings > Distribution Centers.
    • From the Distribution Centers (DC) screen, select the DC Settings button.
    • From the Distribution Center Priority section, expand your Amazon marketplace section.
    • Move the FBA DC to the right side and under Active DCs for the Site in Priority Order.
    • Please Note: The Amazon FBA is considered a preferred DC for Amazon, and if there is quantity at FBA it will always be given first priority for listing and fulfillment on this marketplace – regardless of the order that it shows in the priority screen.
       
  3. Set up the FBA SKU in Inventory
    • Set up the record of your SKU in ChannelAdvisor.
       
  4. Inbound your FBA products to Amazon
    • Prepare and send in your inventory to the FBA Distribution Center. You can start the process in ChannelAdvisor by creating an FBA Inbound Shipping Plan . When this is done you'll be directed to Amazon Seller Central to complete the process, f/x label your products and prepare the shipments.
