Houzz

Houzz is a leading platform for home remodeling and design that brings homeowners and home professionals together in a social and visual community. Houzz allows online retailers to participate in a pay-per-click (PPC) program that uses product thumbnail images to put advertisers' products in front of visitors based on the room, style and products they're researching. This program was created to drive sales so there's very little branding or awareness building involved.

ChannelAdvisor customers can now send a single product inventory feed to ChannelAdvisor, and the data is transformed to meet the unique requirements and specifications of Houzz's PPC Advertising Program.
 

Getting Started


Email Houzz at national@houzz.com in order to get started with advertising on Houzz.

In ChannelAdvisor, set up your Houzz feed by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to  Digital Marketing > Marketing Management > Feeds.
  2. Click  Add New Feed.
  3. Either type  Houzz in the Search box in the upper right corner of the page, or click  Social Commerce.
  4. Mouse over the Houzz option, and click  Add Site . You will then be walked through the Feed setup process. To learn more, review the Shopping and Flex Feeds Getting Started Guide on the SSC.


Fee Model


The pay-per-click program Houzz employs has a sliding cost scale based on volume. There is a $1,000 per month minimum budget cap and a minimum commitment of three months. If you don't reach the monthly limit, you only pay for actual clicks.

Reporting and Performance Data


Some performance data for the Houzz PPC program is captured for reporting in the ChannelAdvisor Digital Marketing interface (Digital Marketing > Marketing Management > Actionable Reporting). That data includes pixel hits, revenue, average order value, estimated marketing cost and conversion rate.
