ChannelAdvisor offers two ways to export inventory to a text file that can be used offline. The first option is the Real Time Inventory Export where you can choose from a small list of common inventory fields to export, including the various quantity fields available in the All Products view. The second option is the Custom Inventory Export where you can choose from all of your inventory fields, including custom attributes and shipping data, that will export in a format that you can upload back into ChannelAdvisor. The simple inventory export will only provide limited inventory fields. To export all inventory data, use the export "Inventory Export in Uploadable Format" instructions. - Select Inventory > Products > All Products .
- Click the Export All Items from Inventory View option or select the SKUs you wish to export and choose Export from the Inventory toolbar.
- Choose the second tab Real Time Export
- Using the checkboxes, select the fields that will be exported for all of the selected records.
- If you are not sharing accounts, then you should not select any of the Pooled fields for export. For shared accounts, the # Total Quantity field is the total quantity across all accounts for that SKU.
- A prompt will appear to save or open the file.
Export All Fields from the Inventory View
This export will provide all inventory field information. It is often referred to as the "Super Inventory Export". - Select Inventory > Products > All Products .
- Select the inventory items for which you would like to export data
- To select only part of your inventory for export, filter your inventory list using the simple search or Filter by option
- To export data for ALL of your inventory items, click the Export All Items from Inventory View action link above the toolbar
- Select Export > Custom. If you want only Price and Quantity information in the file, select Price and Quantity.
- Using the checkboxes, select the fields that will be exported for all of the selected records.
- The default option will not split the file into multiple files if it will exceed the known limits of Excel (65,356 rows), the export will be contained in one file. Warning : The file may be very large and could exceed the known limits of some versions of Excel causing it to be unopenable. If the export file cannot be opened, please select the default option which will split the data into multiple files.
- You may choose to require the export be be split into multiple files.
- You may also choose to export the file in an excel (.xlsx) format. This format will not be split into multiple files.
- From Inventory > Products > Upload/Download Status, select the file that was processed.
Please Note: - It is not currently possible to schedule an inventory export to run automatically on recurring basis.
- Export files will be removed from the Upload/Download Status view after 10 days.
- Export files will only contain up to 50 Classification attributes
- If you have selected the default export option to allow export data to be split into multiple files, an export file that exceeds the known limitations of Excel (65,356 rows) will automatically be split into multiple files available for download in the Upload/Download Status view. Selecting the option to export only a single file may result in a file that cannot be opened by some versions of Excel.
- Inventory exports do not include "ad data" such as assigned Posting Templates, Ad Templates or Schedules. To get this information, export data from the Ads View.
