Feedback Automation

You can automate the sending of Feedback to your buyers through ChannelAdvisor. You also have the ability to set up to six different rotating feedback messages to your buyers as well. Sellers can only leave positive feedback for buyers and this automation will leave only positive feedback on eBay.

Tasks to Complete


You may view and modify your current feedback settings by complete any of the following tasks:

Automatic Positive Feedback

  1. Navigate to your Marketplaces > eBay > Settings > eBay Settings view.
  2. Click on the edit icon next to Feedback.
  3. Check the box next to Enable Automatic Feedback in the Automatic Positive Feedback section at the top of the Feedback settings page.
  4. Upon enabling automatic feedback, you are able to choose the event in which feedback is triggered to be sent. You may select from the following events:
    • Payment Received
    • Item Shipped
    • Payment Received or Item Shipped
    • When buyer leaves feedback
       

Feedback Message Rotation

  1. Navigate to your Marketplaces > eBay > Settings > eBay Setting view.
  2. Click on the edit icon next to Feedback.
  3. Check the box next to Enable Feedback Rotation in the Feedback Message Rotation section in the middle of the Feedback settings page.

Once checked, you may enter up to six custom feedback messages, each with a limit of 80 characters, to be left for your buyers. The application will autmatically bump up messages in sequential order, should you decide to remove a message. You may specify one 80 character feedback message should you desire to not use feedback rotation. If more than one message is created, the application will automatically send feedback, rotating between the messages specified.

Note: Disabling feedback rotation will NOT delete your messages, however should you desire to edit these messages, you must first enable feedback rotation.
 

Feedback Notifications

ChannelAdvisor provides you with the ability to create custom email templates which can be used to send to buyers based upon specified Feedback triggers.

  1. Navigate to your Marketplaces > eBay > Settings > eBay Setting view.
  2. Click on the edit link next to Feedback.
  3. Check the box next to send email when I leave feedback for the buyer in the Feedback Notification section at the bottom of the Feedback settings page. This will automatically send an email using your selected email template to the recipients you've chosen (buyer only or both buyer and seller). For information on editing email templates, visit the Email Templates page.
  4. Check the box next to send email reminders to buyers who have checked out but not left feedback to enable ChannelAdvisor to send emails to buyers at specified times after payment has cleared for their order, requesting they leave you feedback.
    • Begin by setting your start and end points for the time range (in days) using the # Days after payment clears to begin sending reminder emails and # Days after payment clears to stop sending reminder emails, respectively.
    • Then specify the # Days between follow-up reminder emails. The system will only send an email when that interval has been occurred.

Example: If your "# Days to start sending emails" is 1, your "# Days to stop sending emails" is 5, and your "# Days between emails" is 3, your buyer will receive 2 emails, one on the first day after checkout and another on the fourth day.

You may further customize these settings by specifying who receives the email (buyer only or both buyer and seller). You may create up to four separate email templates to be used to request feedback. Simply select the email template and specify which emails being sent will use that template.

Example: Entering "1-2" in the first Email # box will send your selected email template for the first and second emails. Entering "3-6" in the next Email # box will send a different email template for the next 4 emails, as long as the interval falls within your start and end dates as mentioned above.
