How To

Using Business Rules

Business Rules are unique customized text functions or expressions that allow you to manipulate and transform inventory data to meet your specific needs.

For example, you could create a new Business Rule called "Capitalize Title" that will take your existing title and change it to use all capital letters. You could create a Business Rule called "Discount sales price 10% for Brand XYZ" that looks at all of your items and reduces the price by 10% but only for those with XYZ as their Brand. The flexibility is nearly endless to manipulate and transform inventory data to your needs.

ChannelAdvisor includes default rules that cover various data transformation scenarios commonly needed by users, and you can also create your own rules without the assistance of a ChannelAdvisor employee. They can be unique to your business and your needs.
