Using Business RulesBusiness Rules are unique customized text functions or expressions that allow you to manipulate and transform inventory data to meet your specific needs. For example, you could create a new Business Rule called "Capitalize Title" that will take your existing title and change it to use all capital letters. You could create a Business Rule called "Discount sales price 10% for Brand XYZ" that looks at all of your items and reduces the price by 10% but only for those with XYZ as their Brand. The flexibility is nearly endless to manipulate and transform inventory data to your needs. ChannelAdvisor includes default rules that cover various data transformation scenarios commonly needed by users, and you can also create your own rules without the assistance of a ChannelAdvisor employee. Creating Business RulesTo create a business rule you will need to first navigate to the appropriate view in the application. Most of the time you can access the business rules view under the Product Mapping sub heading for each product in the application including inventory. You'll then be asked to provide a name and an expression that defines your rule. There are a wide range of expressions you will have to choose from. $brand is no longer a valid Attribute Tag
Just cus it cost me about 30 minutes of work I have a little tidbit to share. $brand is actually now $itembrand. That is unless you may have it as a class attribute.
