Implementing Pixels With Signal Tag

The Signal Tag manager makes it easy for marketers to add and update website tags, including analytics. ChannelAdvisor requires a pixel on the page to gather data that is then pulled into the ChannelAdvisor system. This page provides instructions to implement ChannelAdvisor pixels with Signal Tag manager (formerly known as BrighTag). 

Please Note: as these instructions are related to tasks performed in environments outside of ChannelAdvisor (Signal Tag and your website), they are provided as a convenience only. Complete the following tasks to implement Pixels with Signal Tag manager. The screenshots included in these instructions are of the Signal Tag user interface; click on each image to expand.

Client Tag Selection Screen

After logging in to your Signal Tag account, within the Tags tab, select the Add a Tag button:


From here, you will be able to search by Vendor, Product or Tag Name. Type "ChannelAdvisor" and select our Partner tag from the catalog:

 

ChannelAdvisor First Party Order Pixel (JavaScript)

The Order Tracking pixels captures order and conversion information which is used to measure the effectiveness of each campaign. The code has several parameters ( order value, order ID, Product ID ) that will need to be integrated and customized for the particular store or shopping cart.

ChannelAdvisor First Party Visit Pixel (JavaScript)

The Visit Pixel captures inbound traffic information and needs to be added to every page on your website including the Order Confirmation page. we strongly encourage you to place the Visit pixel in the <Head> section of your website. ChannelAdvisor pixel is asynchronous, meaning we make the request to start loading the page but nothing blocks waiting for the script to load, mitigating any issues with placing it in the <Head> section. If you are unable to add it in the <Head> section, we recommend placing it as high as possible in the <Body> section.
