Implementing Tracking Pixels With Tealium

The Tealium Tag Management Suite puts marketers in control of their online solutions, making it easy to deploy new vendor tags or make edits to existing ones without burdening developers.  ChannelAdvisor requires a pixel on the page to gather data that is then pulled into the ChannelAdvisor system. This page provides instructions to implement ChannelAdvisor pixels within Tealium. The following instructions assume that the core Tealium JavaScript code has been applied to the appropriate pages.

Tasks to Complete


  • Enable the ChannelAdvisor tag in Tealium
  • Configure the pixel

Complete the following steps to enable the ChannelAdvisor tag in Tealium

  1. Login to your Tealium account.
  2. Navigate to the Tags Section.
  3. Click on the "+ Add Tag" button.
  4. Search for the ChannelAdvisor Tag.
  5. Navigate to the tag settings for ChannelAdvisor.

Complete the following steps to configure the ChannelAdvisor tag in Tealium

  1. Within the tag settings for the ChannelAdvisor tag, fill out the Title property and Account ID.
  2. Under the Load Rules tab, click the appropriate check boxes for firing the ChannelAdvisor pixel on the Order Page, Product Pages, or both. 
  3. Under the Mapped Data Sources tab, the option exists to add a new mapped data source. The ChannelAdvisor variables are already mapped by default. This step is only for those who wish to add more events.
  4. Click Finish to save the settings.
