Selling Internationally using ChannelAdvisor

  • Add a New Country – My Account > Utilities > Add a New Country. You'll also be given the option to copy existing settings from your account. See the Add a New Country page. 

 

How to Configure International Settings


Selling internationally provides an opportunity to reach another group of buyers. By reaching this other group of buyers, it is likely that sales volume and challenges to manage them will increase. ChannelAdvisor provides a comprehensive solution to solve the challenges of managing international sellers and buyers. Not all of these features will apply in all cases; however, international sellers will find these features valuable in running their businesses efficiently. 

  • Tax Configurations: We strongly suggest you understand tax settings in your ChannelAdvisor account(s) so your business can comply with local tax regulations. For more information on tax regulations in your target selling country please contact a local resource (eg. solicitor, government, tax expert). 
    • Enabling VAT – This is applicable to EU Countries, Australia and some other countries. All marketplaces in EU and Australia require that listed prices include VAT.
    • Enabling Sales Tax by country or region – This is applicable to the US but only for Webstores. US Marketplaces tax settings are configured at the marketplace.
  • Creating ship-to zones
  • Customizing invoices
