Using Keyword Tools

One of the keys to a successful paid search campaign is to always look for ways to optimize your results. Paid search is an ever evolving industry and it is imperative that your campaign evolves with this change. Using Keyword Tools   - This video covers the three reports in ChannelAdvisor's keyword tools: Keyword Suggestions, Negative Keyword Suggestions and the Seasonal Bid Adjuster. View Transcript

 
 

Tasks to Complete


Begin in ChannelAdvisor by navigating to Digital Marketing > Marketing Management > Keyword Tools . Here you will be able to access the following tools:

  • Keyword Generator - Previously broken out between Keyword Term Generator and Broad Match Analyzer reports, our new version combines these two reports and allows for adding keywords to your provider accounts directly within the user interface.  
  • Negative Keyword Suggestions  -  This report merges Google Search Query report data with ChannelAdvisor revenue data and provides the top 100 cost queries from the prior 30 days where the cost is greater than revenue. You can add negative keywords to block these queries at the campaign or ad group levels with the new negative keyword support (below). 
  • Seasonal Bid Adjuster  - This report shows top performing keywords from a past period and allows you to quickly adjust bids to the past period's average Cost Per Click as well as layer on additional percentage increases or decreases based on past period Cost Per Click amounts. You can also change status or rebuild keywords that are now deleted from your account to capture your seasonal revenue.
