Marketplaces Profit and Loss

The Listing Profit Loss Report can help determine profitability by listing. The report provides performance data on any listing that was live for the specified date. On the cost side it includes product cost (cost of goods sold) and estimated marketplace fees. On the revenue side it includes GMV. The report does not include return/refund information, shipping revenue and cost. This report is useful for understanding the cumulative performance of a listing including its profit. Sellers must include cost information on SKU's for the report to be helpful.

Notes on the Profit & Loss Report:


  • ChannelAdvisor Stores products only appear on this report if they have sales.
  • This report will only display information for listings that closed during the time period specified in the report parameters.
  • The Profit & Loss Report contains the data listed below.
Column Name
Description
 SKU The unique value assigned to the product.
 Site Name The location where the transaction takes place.
 Site Auction ID A unique identification number assigned by the marketplace site to identify a listing. The auction id number can be seen throughout the software to track an open or closed listing.
 Title Product Title
 Insertion Fees 
 Reserve Fees 
 Special Fees 
 Misc. Fees 
 Closing Fees 
 Featured Fees.
 Gallery Fees 
 Total Fees Total of all included fees
 GMV Gross Merchandise Volume--excludes shipping and taxes
 Original Cost Product Cost (usualy Cost of Goods Sold)
 Profit/Loss GMV - (Original Cost) - (Total Fees)
