How To

Cross Channel Dashboard - the Attributed Revenue Perspective

When evaluating your performance across different channels there are a couple different ways you can look at the data depending on the question you are trying to answer. Access the dashboard by navigating to Reports > Cross Channel Dashboard.  The Attributed perspective on the Cross Channel Dashboard is designed to ask:

What channels are generating my sales?

The Attributed perspective classifies your Revenue (GMV) by the channels and sites that are responsible for generating sales. This is a marketing focused perspective and is useful to help you understand which channels are driving your sales and how each channel or site is trending.  Think of this perspective as helping you determine where to spend your next marketing dollar.

Notes on the Attributed perspective:

  • The Channels which appear on this view are:
    • Marketplaces
    • Paid Search
    • Natural Search
    • Comparison Shopping
    • Email
    • Display Advertising
    • Social Media
    • Checkout Direct
    • Website
  • In the event no channel is directly tracked to the order, it is classified as Website or Other Website Sales.  This will occur for traffic that navigates directly to your website without any prior trackable channel visit.
  • When an order occurs in both an Advertising channel (such as Paid Search) as well as a Transactional channel (such as your Store) it is classified as a sale for the Advertising channel.  This is done to give the most complete picture of which channels and sites are driving sales.
  • The total Revenue (GMV) for the Transactional perspective will equal the total in the Attributed perspective.

Switching Perspectives on the Cross Channel Dashboard

To switch to the Transactional perspective select the "Attributed" button at the top left of the dashboard.  This will toggle both the trend and pie charts between the two perspectives.
