ChannelAdvisor provides you many tools to manage the sales process. Once a buyer has purchased an item in a marketplace and the post-sale transaction process has begun, you will need to easily manage your orders, print invoices, and process shipments to buyers. Before you begin listing and selling items on the various marketplaces, it is important to spend some time thinking about, and configuring your post sale processes in ChannelAdvisor.  In order to complete a transaction and ship your products to buyers you must ensure the prerequisites below have been reviewed.

Prerequisites


You should be familiar with the following topics before continuing:

Shipping


 After the buyer has completed Checkout and the payment has been processed, it is time to ship out your orders.  ChannelAdvisor provides a variety of tools that can be used to fulfill and ship your products to the buyer.

 ChannelAdvisor provides several views to manage buyer orders and transactions. In these views you can not only track the status of an order, but you can also communicate with your buyers, review payments, and track shipments of your products.

The primary view used to manage orders is the All Sales page. Here you can see all of your orders that have been placed, and review their status. The status of an order in this view can range from just created to payment complete and order shipped.

Many of the other Sales views are used to perform specific tasks. For example, the eBay Unpaid Items view is used to manage the UPI process specific to the eBay Marketplace.

After processing a few sales with ChannelAdvisor, you should begin to consider using some advanced features that will allow you to continuously improve your business.  The primary goal of any seller is to sell more products, more effeciently.  By using some of these tools, ChannelAdvisor can help you to acheive your business goals.

  • Offer Promotions - Special offers can often encourage buyers to make additional purchases, and are considered to be an excellent marketing tool for new and return buyers
  • Enabling eBay Second Chance Offers - eBay Second Chance Offer is an opportunity for you to offer an item to someone other than the winning bidder after the listing ends.
  • Enable eBay Best Offer - eBay allows sellers to receive price-based offers from buyers which can be accepted at the discretion of the seller.
