An important aspect to every successful sales strategy is determining when, how often, and how many items are posted to eBay. When you create a schedule in the application, you are creating a schedule that can be used an unlimited number of times for an unlimited number of items and not just determining when a single item will post.  You can be flexible in the configured quantity, as the schedule will never post more quantity than you have available at the time of the listing -- it will submit the maximum quantity in the inventory item subject to the constraints of your schedule.

How to Create a Schedule 

Be cautious when creating schedules and make certain that you are not applying any schedules to any eBay ads that you may have completed. This action will send your listings to eBay. You may create your schedule, but do not assign them to your eBay ads until you are ready to go live with your items to eBay.

1. Navigate to your   Marketplaces > eBay  > Product Mapping > Schedules view .
2. From the Schedules view, click Create a New Ad Schedule.
3. Select a Schedule Type based on how you wish the ad to perform.
4. Configure the schedule based on the Schedule Type as well as the various scheduling features available to you.
5. Next, assign Ads to the schedule. Until you assign a Schedule to Ads, the ad will not post to eBay. Selecting the Post it Now button will ignore the initial scheduled posting.

Schedule Guidelines

Schedules follow certain rules when ads are assigned to them. Since ads can be assigned to a new or existing schedule at anytime, the items already on that schedule must always be taken into consideration. The following section describes the behavior of a schedule when new ads are applied. 

• A schedule will not be regenerated when editing the schedule name and/or relist options. Any other fields in a schedule that are edited will cause a schedule to be regenerated.
• Removing ads from a schedule does not regenerate the schedule.
• If new ads are assigned to an existing schedule, and the assignment occurs within the schedule's posting time window, the ads remaining to be posted today and/or the newly assigned ads will be evenly distributed throughout the remainder of time in the posting window if sufficient time remains.  If there is a small amount of time remaining, then they will be spread over the remaining time today and the full schedule tomorrow to prevent all of them from being sent at once.  Normal posting time distribution will resume the next day in the schedule.
• If a schedule is updated, and the edit occurs within the schedules posting time window, the ads remaining to be posted today and/or the newly assigned ads will be evenly distributed throughout the remainder of time in the posting window. Normal posting time distribution will resume the next day in the schedule.
• There will be a slight delay between the closing and the posting of a new listing on a maintain schedule. This is to give the closing processes time to complete inventory restocking if the item closed as Unsold. When creating schedules, you should be mindful of the variety of schedules that can be produced. By automating as much of your marketplace strategy as possible, you can set up the account to constantly maintain product available for sale to buyers.
• Schedules can also be used to generate buyer excitement in the marketplace. By using a maintain type schedule you can create a perceived increase in marketplace demand by keeping a low number of listings open for that item. Even though you can have deep quantities available in your inventory, buyers perceive that the item is scarce and therefore they should buy immediately. A maintain schedule will keep a constant supply of just the right amount of inventory to the market, recognizing when an item has recently closed and replacing it immediately.
