Using Dashboards to Analyze Data

To help you gain valuable insight into your business, ChannelAdvisor provides customizable dashboards: one account dashboard, two channel dashboards and dashboards for Where to Buy and Product Intelligence. The channel dashboards are for Marketplaces and Digital Marketing. The Digital Marketing dashboard contains paid search and comparison shopping information.

To navigate to the dashboards:

  • Account Dashboard – use the home link at the far left of the ChannelAdvisor navigation.

  • Marketplaces Dashboard – navigate to Marketplaces > Overview.

  • Digital Marketing Dashboard – navigate to Digital Marketing > Digital Marketing Dashboard.

From these pages, you will be able to view your customized widget selections and layout and edit customizations. Detailed information for the Where to Buy and Product Intelligence Dashboards can be found on this SSC page.

*Widgets that report GMV sales data require the module View Dashboard Graphs to be enabled for the user's group. Please see the Manage Groups  and Modules pages for instructions on how to enable this module.

 

Selecting and Configuring Widgets


Each dashboard has a default set of widgets, but you can choose to add and remove widgets to suit your needs.

 

To add another dashboard:

The Account Dashboard allows you to add multiple dashboards to customize your accounts to your needs.

  1. Select the gear icon to choose one of the available options:
    • Add a New Dashboard
    • Rename
    • Clone
    • Change Layout
    • Delete
  2. Select the dashboard title to change your Account Dashboard view.

 

To add a new widget do the following:

  1. Select the blue Add Widget button in the top right of the view.
  2. Browse for the desired widget by selecting a category at the right, using search or simply browsing the list.
  3. Beneath the widget title and description, select the blue Add Widget button.
  4. You may follow the above steps to add additional widgets.
  5. Select the X in the top right of the Add New Widget modal window to close the window.

Some widgets allow for additional configuration.

 

To preview a new widget do the following:

  1. Select the blue Add Widget button in the top right of the view.
  2. Browse for the desired widget by selecting a category at the right, using search or simply browsing the list.
  3. Beneath the widget title and description, select the blue Preview button.
  4. Select the X in the top right of the preview modal window to close the window.

 

To configure a widget's settings do the following:

  1. Place your mouse over the title bar of an active widget. If a cog icon appears to the left of the remove icon (X), then the widget is configurable.
  2. Click the cog icon to open configuration options.
  3. Select from the available options.
  4. Click the cog icon to close the configuration options.

 

To delete a widget do the following:

  1. Place your mouse over the title bar of an active widget.
  2. Press the remove icon (X) at the top right of the title bar.
  3. Confirm you want to remove the widget in the alert box.

Note that once a widget is removed its configuration settings are no longer stored. You may add the widget back to your dashboard, but will have to reset any configuration settings to restore a removed widget.

 

Changing the Page Layout


You can easily rearrange your dashboard to suit your needs.

 

To select the number and width of your columns do the following:

  1. Select the gear icon and within the menu select Change Layout.
  2. Select from one of the available layouts by clicking the desired layout.
  3. Select  Save to save your selection.

You can also easily move widgets around the page.

 

To move a widget do the following:

  1. Click and hold the header of an active widget.
  2. While holding your mouse button, drag the widget to another location on the dashboard. Available locations are indicated by a yellow box.
  3. When hovering over the desired location, release your mouse button to drop the widget in its new location.

 

Adjusting the Date Range


By default, each dashboard will show data from the prior 30 days.

 

To change this setting do the following:

  1. Select the date option in the upper right corner of your view.
  2. Select a beginning and end date from the calendar.
  3. You may also select a predefined date range from the drop down menu.
  4. Or you can simply type in the date range using the text option.
  5. When done select Apply.
