How To

Using System Default Labels

Labels are central to many of our products, such as listing on Amazon, Jet, Walmart, and sending Shopping and Flex Feeds. In order to send inventory to these channels, you tell the system to pull all inventory that has a certain label associated with it. This gives you a flexible way to tag the inventory you want to appear on the channel without having to assign classifications or any other grouping mechanism.

Prerequisites

These steps should be completed prior to completing any related tasks

All Inventory Label

The All Inventory label is a system default label. It gives the same results set as the Inventory > All Products view. If you are using this label to send a feed, items will be taken and removed from the feed based on this rule. It is often combined with a filter such as "only send items with quantity > 0" for customers who want to send almost all their items.

If it does not seem to be adding all items follow these steps:

  • Navigate to Inventory > Grouping > Labels.
  • Click on the All Inventory label.
  • Ensure that the Filter is set to All Products.

  • A mismatch can be caused if you manually added or excluded items to / from the label after the last scheduled calculation. Click on the Manually Assigned and Manually Excluded tabs to review if manually assigned or excluded items exist. You can clear these assignments or exclusions if they're not needed. But be aware that this affects which items are included in feeds using this label.

  • Click on the More button in the upper right corner and then on Calculate Now. This will kick off a manual calculation.

Note: In general there is no need to manually add items to and remove them from the All Inventory label. If you'd like to manage individually which items should be assigned to and removed from a label you will want to create a new label by going to Inventory > Grouping > Labels > Create New Label and use that label instead.

The All Inventory Label is required to exist in the account for category synchronization (such as the Category Mappings page in Comparison Shopping). So it should not be modified or deleted.
