How To

Withdrawing an Open Listing

You can withdraw a listing if the item is no longer available or you no longer wish to sell the item. It can also be withdrawn if there is an error in the price or description that cannot be corrected through the Revise an Open Listing function.

Prerequisites

The following topics should be reviewed before completing this task.

How to Withdraw an Open Listing

Manually via the User Interface

To withdraw an Open Listing in the User Interface complete these steps:

  1. Navigate to your Marketplaces > eBay > Performance > Open Listings view.
  2. Select the listings you want to revise.
  3. Click the Withdraw Listing button.
  4. Select a reason for the withdrawal of the listing. This reason will be submitted with the cancel request and may be displayed to explain the reason the item was ended early.
  5. Once the reason has been selected, click Save.
  6. Please Note: When you withdraw an eBay listing, that action alone is not enough to prevent the item from being relisted to eBay. Instead, withdrawing the eBay listing only tells the marketplace that you do not want this current listing to remain live. If there is still available quantity for the item, ChannelAdvisor will attempt to relist this item to eBay unless other actions are taken.

If you wish to prevent an item from being relisted to eBay, you will want to either block the SKU or remove the schedule from the ad.

From the Open Listings view, after selecting Withdraw Listing, please choose one of the Additional Actions from the pop-up window.

    • Blocking the SKU will remove the item from all Marketplaces.
    • Removing the schedule from the ad will remove the item from only eBay.

Withdraw Listings is also available from Ads view to withdraw all of the open listings associated with the respective ad. A confirmation page will list all of the open listings that will be affected before the reason is selected to ensure all of the listings to withdraw are appropriate.

Can You Bulk Remove Child SKUs From Parent SKUs?

eBay listed all of my child SKUs individually but now I have people buying the child SKU but requesting a different Child SKU because it still shows the parents generic title. Is there a way to bulk remove my child SKUs from their parents?
