Inventory

  • Export of Upload File Errors - Should you encounter errors during the process of uploading product data, either via the user interface or FTP, these errors are shown from a link on the Inventory>Product>Upload/Download Status.  The errors shown in the application can now be downloaded with the original information that was uploaded, for easy correction and reupload. These files will be available on the Upload/Download Status page once ready.  The error will be shown as either the first column of a flat file or at the beginning of a product in XML format.   The Quantity Update Type will be returned as blank in the flat file version to ensure you do not accidentally update quantity twice; this value is not removed from the XML files so beware of potential mistakes when reuploading the data.
  • Upload File Downloads in .zip Format - Uploaded files are available for you to download from the Inventory>Product>Upload/Download Status.  These files will now download as ".zip" instead of ".gzip".

Marketplaces

  • eBay
    • *New* eBay 360 Dashboard - The new eBay 360 Dashboard is now available, and will show you information about your eBay sales, best selling products, and eBay seller account information.
    • *New* Automatic Revise Listings - The new Revise Listings functionality addresses a long-running request to update additional elements in a live eBay listing.  When enabled, this functionality will automatically detect any changes to inventory items, ad templates, posting templates, schedules, or ads and update open eBay listings to reflect the new information.  For more information, please read the SSC page.  Additionally, when using the new Revise Listings functionality the capability to revise from the Open Listings view has been streamlined to be a single click and the entire open listing will be refreshed.
    • Open Listings Enhancements - The Open Listings view has been enhanced to show more information about currently open listings, including details regarding revise and withdraw requests and if the listing is associated with an item in the eBay catalog.  The existing information about Variation and Relist has been moved to make it easier to read, but is still the same information.
    • Closed Listings Enhancements - The Closed Listings view has been enhanced to show more information about recently closed listings, including details regarding revise and withdraw requests and if the listing is associated with an item in the eBay catalog.  The existing information from the Open Listings view about Variation and Relist has been added.  Additionally, information about the quantity sold and the total quantity available in the listing have been added to the view to provide more information.
    • Parts Compatibility Now Supported in Germany - In addition to the existing Automotive Parts Compatibility support in the US and UK, support for eBay Germany options is now available.  Please see the SSC page for more information on how data must be specified for proper support on eBay Germany.
    • Unpaid Item Dispute Processing Changes:
      • To avoid the problems of canceled orders no longer being available in your ChannelAdvisor account when the checkout completes at eBay, the cancel sales functionality has been modified to automatically complete after the checkout has been canceled at eBay.  In order to stop the checkout at eBay and prevent the buyer from completing at a later time, eBay requires that a dispute be opened and resolved.  You can process those automatically through your ChannelAdvisor account, use the Unpaid Item Assistant at eBay, or file them directly on ebay.com.
      • For disputes that are opened outside of the ChannelAdvisor process, the dispute icon in the Sales view will now illuminate when the dispute information is imported and will link directly to the existing imported dispute information.
    • Bugs Fixed:
      • An intermittent catalog association error was identified in the eBay processing system when submitting only MPN information instead of both Brand and MPN.  In order to prevent this incorrect association, information will only be submitted to eBay if both Brand and MPN are provided.  This is automatic and requires no change on your part, but if you have been providing this information you may want to check to ensure both Brand and MPN are available for best results.  Alternately, you can use the UPC code to identify items.
      • An intermittent issue regarding weekly schedules occasionally not submitting items to be listed has been identified and addressed.  No change is required to the schedules.
  • Amazon
    • Category Support
      • *New* Amazon Lighting Category - A new category was added for sellers in the US, UK, Germany and France. With the addition of this category, a seller can now provide detailed listing information for lights, ceiling fans, light bulbs and other lighting accessories. Please see the Amazon Seller Central's Lighting category for more information on selling in this category. A full list of ChannelAdvisor product categories by markets is available on the Amazon Product Categories page.
      • *New* Amazon Sports Collectibles Categoryy - A new category was added for sellers in the US. With the addition of this category, a seller can now provide detailed listing information for authenticated sports collectibles. For more information and to request approval in this category, please visit Amazon's Sports Collectibles page.
      • Updated Shoe, Handbag & Eyewear Category - Updates were made to the Shoe category for sellers in the US to support the new Amazon format and requirements in Shoes. Amazon has set a hard cut-over date of May 31st, 2012 for US shoe sellers to adopt this new template. Please see the SSC page Updates to the Shoe, Handbag and Eyewear Category for more information.
      • Updated Home & Garden Category - Updates were made to the Home & Garden category for sellers in the US. In this update, two new product types (Home and Arts & Crafts) were added as well as many new attributes for products in this category. Please see the Amazon Seller Central's Home & Garden Category for more information on selling in this category.
    • Repricer Enhancements
      • Status added to 360 Dashboard - Now the Amazon 360 Dashboard will show the current state of the Repricer and include the number of products monitored, last update date/time, Repricer state (on, off, test) as well as the number of items that have been repriced and a count and link to the Repricer errors. Additionally, a seller can access the Repricer configuration from this screen and quickly turn the Repricer on/off.
      • Repricer Configuration and Default Rule - In an effort to make it easier to get up and running with Repricer, the set up process was streamlined by combining the set-up fields on to one page. Additionally, a default Repricer rule was created. The default rule was configured based upon the most common repricer strategy. A Seller may quickly test and activate this default rule or may edit the rule to suit their own strategy.
      • Use Amazon Shipping Prices - In the Repricer setup and option was added to allow the Seller to use the shipping prices that they have set up in Amazon Seller Central in their Repricer calculations. For more information please see the SSC's Amazon Repricer.
      • Repricer Activity View Update - The updated view will now allow a seller to either see all repricing activity for a SKU or to easily see the result from the most recent repricer run.
    • Identify FBA Orders on the All Sales View - Where applicable, orders on the All Sales View will now contain a Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) icon to clearly mark the order as FBA and to allow for filtering by FBA on this view.
  • Buy.com

Webstores

  • Premium Webstores
    • Full Refunds through ChannelAdvisor - Full refunds can now be made for Premium Webstores orders in the ChannelAdvisor application or through the ChannelAdvisor API.  Note that any Premium Webstore refunds issued through ChannelAdvisor will refund the entire order price, including shipping.  The refund can be initiated either by using the Cancel Sale button in the All Sales page or by clicking the Full Refund button on the Refunds Tab when viewing the details of a single order.  Additional details can be found here.

Foundations

  • Business Rule Function Update - The IFBLANK function has been updated to accept up to eight inputs. This allows rules with multiple IFBLANK calls to be simplified. For example, instead of IFBLANK(IFBLANK($itemasin,$itemupc),$itmempn), you can now write IFBLANK($itemasin,$itemupc,$itemmpn)
  • New Business Rule - A new function, LEFTWORD, has been created. This takes an input text, a maximum length, and a delimiter. It returns the longest portion of the input text that is not longer than the maximum length AND is truncated at an instance of the delimiter. For example, if a description field must be 50 characters or less, instead of using LEFT($description,50) to truncate the input text at exactly 50 characters, you can use LEFTWORD($description,50," ") to truncate at the last complete word that fits within the 50 character limit. Use LEFTWORD($description,50,".") to truncate at the last complete sentence that fits.
