  • Improved Error Messaging:  We have improved the error messaging on Inventory Upload, if a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file is submitted we will now display an error message stating this format is not supported.  CSV formatted files have never been supported by ChannelAdvisor inventory upload due to the fact that commas are often included in product data (descriptions for example).
  • Issue Credit Command: The command used on the Transaction Log to issue a full order credit has been changed to use a new icon.

eBay/PayPal

  • Motors (US) Parts Compatibility (Fitment): In March 2010, eBay is adding support for Parts Compatibility (Fitment) for parts & accessories categories on the US Motors site.  More detailed information on the ChannelAdvisor support for various listing methods is available on the Parts Compatibility SSC page.  While eBay has not yet launched the functionality for sellers on the US Motors site, you can prepare your information in advance of the official release and be ready when eBay opens support in your categories.
  • GTC Listing Duration: Support has been added for the eBay GTC (Good Til Canceled) listing duration.  To use this option, select the duration of "GTC (Unlimited)" on the schedule or when submitting an item using Post Now.  Please note that this is a 30 day duration listing that is automatically renewed by eBay at the end of the 30 day cycle and additional fees are charged at that time.  When automatically renewed by eBay no information about the listing will be changed, though modifications may be submitted using the revise listings functionality.
  • Withdraw Listings API: See more details in the Developer Network section.
  • Variations Listings Enhancements:
    • A new icon has been added in the Open Listings view to denote variation listings.  The Second Chance Offer and Relist icons were also updated to refrect the new format and to improve user understanding.
    • A new element has been added to the Advanced Filter to allow filtering on variation listings.
    • The image processing for variation listings has been updated to use the image configured on the parent SKU if available.  If not available from the parent SKU, the default image will revert to using one of the child SKU images.
  • Courier Shipping for eBay UK: Courier has been added as a shipping option for the eBay UK Posting Templates.  This option can be used when the category-based shipping caps do not work for specific products.  This is a completed customer request.
  • Motors (US) Enhancements:
    • The eBay Motors (US) posting templates have been updated to account for the new required Return Policy and Handling Time requirements from eBay.
    • Featured listing options have been added to the eBay Motors (US) posting templates.
  • Relist Processing Enhancements: An error was found removing the immediate payment option and the subtitle field in certain cases when relist was enabled.  These have been fixed.
  • PayPal Express Checkout with Promotion Codes: An error was found when using promotion codes in the checkout with PayPal Express Checkout in a currency other than USD.  This has been fixed.
  • Account Settings Page Removed from "My Account"
    • The eBay Auctions Counter has been integrated with all eBay settings. These settings are now located under Marketplaces > eBay > Settings > eBay Settings. Once on this page, click the "edit" link next to eBay Auctions Counter.
    • The eBay Stores Categories have also been integrated with all eBay settings. These settings are located in the same location as the eBay Auctions Counter. Clicking on the "edit" link next to the eBay Stores Categories.
    • Default account weight is now set at the account level. These options are Metric or English (lbs). This setting will not be set during inital account setup and is very rarely changed. If a change is needed, please submit a support ticket.
  • Marketplace Accounts Page Removed from Marketplaces > eBay > Settings
    • eBay Marketplace Credentials can be set in the eBay Setup Guide (Marketplaces > eBay > Settings > Setup Guide) or by visiting the eBay Marketplace Credentials page directly (Marketplaces > eBay > Settings > eBay Settings).
    • Amazon Merchants At Credentials can be set by visiting Marketplaces > eBay and Amazon > Settings > Amazon Settings. Clicking the "Verify Credentials" button will ensure you have entered valid credentials. Once validated, click the "Save" button to save your changes.

Clicking the "Update Token" link will bring you to the Trading Post website where you can set and/or update your token to allow syncing with ChannelAdvisor.

Amazon US

  • Support for Wireless Accessories and Tools categories: Amazon 2.0 US now offers support for creating new products in the Wireless Accessories and Tools category.  The Wireless Accessories category is not available in the UK; the Home Improvement category in the UK is different from Tools in the US and will be supported soon. Both Amazon US and UK platforms can be used to list ANY products that have previously been listed ("in-catalog") on Amazon.com/Amazon.co.uk.  Support for creating new products is available for 10 categories - see this page for a complete list of categories by platform.
  • Amazon 1.0 Upgrades to Amazon 2.0: ChannelAdvisor is actively working on building a process to assist Amazon  1.0 ( Posting Template based integration)  to upgrade their account to Amazon 2.0 (feed based integration).  This process will begin rolling out to clients over the coming months.  Clients will be invited to upgrade when it is appropriate for their account, based on their current setup and categories.  We will contact clients with additional information when their account is eligible.
  • Ability to Default to an Inventory Attribute from Lookup List: Previously when using a lookup list the default value to map when the lookup list did not contain the option could only be a text field; now that default can also be an inventory attribute.

Amazon UK

  • Upgrade to Amazon 2.0 User Interface: Starting with the product section, Amazon UK sellers now have visibility into the overall health of their Amazon listings with the product overview page and subsequent Successfully Listed, Needing Attention, and System Processing pages.  These views are built with the intention of making it easier to manage your listings on the marketplace.  In addition, the marketplace settings page aggregates the information necessary for listing your products, including marketplace credentials, quantity settings, seller categories, and fulfillment information.
  • Limit to Send Three Groups of Products to Amazon: You have the ability to create multiple groups of products for a single marketplace and apply a separate template and quantity allocation strategy to each group.  The best practice method for any marketplace is to have a single label, single template, and single quantity allocation strategy using the dynamic ChannelAdvisor system to adjust your inventory information when necessary.  For some users this best practice is not practical and instead they prefer to send different products in different groupings - eg. new products with one version of settings versus used products with another version, high volume vs. low volume, etc.  You have the ability to have up to 3 active groupings - defined by separate labels; you can have up to 7 additional inactive groupings.  A single product should only be associated with one active grouping / label at a time to avoid potential issues on the marketplace.
  • Ability to Default to an Inventory Attribute from Lookup List: Previously when using a lookup list the default value to map when the lookup list did not contain the option could only be a text field; now that default can also be an inventory attribute.

Buy.com (US)

  • List a product with multiple conditions: Previously ChannelAdvisor limited the use of a single Product ID (eg. UPC) to be associated with only one listing on Buy.com, this limited your ability to sell multiple conditions of a product.  We have extended the system to allow a single Product ID to be associated with multiple condition values when sending to Buy.com.
  • Ability to Default to an Inventory Attribute from Lookup List: Previously when using a lookup list the default value to map when the lookup list did not contain the option could only be a text field; now that default can also be an inventory attribute.
