How can I view a list of eBay ads that have inventory available but are not live on eBay?

Go to the Marketplaces > eBay > Product Mapping > Ads view. On the right click on "Create" beside "Filter By". Next give your filter a name create your filter as follows:

Inventory Quantity >= 1
And
(Inventory Qty Open = 0
and
Posting Template Name like ebay)

Finally click "Save and Exit".

How do I post my eBay ads to multiple sites at once?

You can find this setting in the "Additional Features"/"Selling Preferences" section depending on the Posting template you are using. The options vary depending on the location configured for your posting account.

For example, the posting templates in a US posting account would show an option to "Make my item visible on eBay UK". A UK account would give you the option to "Make my item visible on eBay US and eBay CA". Once that option is enabled with the correct value, all future listings posted by that template will appear on both sites.

Keep in mind that there is a small fee for this feature, which is outlined next to the option on the posting template.

How do we notify our eBay customers of the carrier we used to ship their item?

Even if your eBay listings include generic shipping options like "Standard Shipping", when you ship the item you can assign a specific carrier (UPS, USPS, FedEx, or custom carrier options). The carrier and class that you use when updating the order as shipped in ChannelAdvisor will be submitted to eBay with the shipping notification, updating the buyer's order.

Will my sales history be carried over to my next eBay listing?

For Fixed Price listings, sales history will be carried over from one listing to the next based on the following:

- If the new item is a multi quantity listing
- If the previous item was a multi quantity listing
- If the previous item had one or more sales (Last 14 days for a scheduled ad and last 60 days for a 'Post Now')
- If the previous item closed in last 7 days
- If the new item and previous item are using the same ad ID
- If the new ad has the same condition and category as the previous ad

How do you remove eBay credentials from a posting account?

- Go to Marketplaces>eBay>Settings>eBay Settings.
- Click 'Modify' under the 'Actions' column.
- Un-check all the marketplaces (eBay Auction US, eBay Fixed Price US, etc...) shown.
- Click 'Save'.

Note that this will delete any posting templates and ads in CA associated with that particular eBay user ID.

Is there a way to un-map eBay catalog information in bulk?

There is currently no way to do this in bulk.

You can, however, change the catalog mapping to something different. If you would like to change the catalog mapping, click on the link for the Ad ID to edit it , then click the "Catalog Item Information" tab within each ad. Information on this can be found on our Strategy and Support Center here:

It's important to note that catalog mapping is made at the SKU level, so there are occasions (moving from the Motors catalog to manual fitment) where unmapping at the ad level will not work. In that case, opening a Support ticket is necessary.

How will data changes from eBay Automatic Revisions be shown on my listings?

The listing on eBay will be noted that it has been changed. You can see on the eBay listing page that there is a link for View All Revisions at the top of the description that will tell you which elements on a listing have been modified. The values are not shown, but the specific fields that have been modified are displayed.

What does the eBay error "Invalid rate table details type; The shipping rate table is not applicable for this site." mean?

Generally this error is returned because the previous listing for this item had different shipping options than the posting template currently uses.

If you are no longer wanting to use a shipping rate table for listings assigned to this posting template, clear out the mappings for this field. You can do this by following these steps:

1) If this is an eBay Quickstart account, go to Marketplaces > eBay > Product Mapping >Template and select "edit" under the template column

-OR-

2) If this an eBay custom account, go to Marketplaces > eBay > Product Mapping > Posting Templates and select "site details" for the desired posting template

Once here, select the business policies tab and scroll down to the "Shipping" section. Find the "Use Domestic Shipping Surcharge Table configured at eBay" field and make sure that there are no configured mappings.

-THEN-
Once the above is done, delete the listing error and the listing will post with the next iteration of the schedule.

Why do MPN, Brand and UPC (Product Identifier section) disappear from an eBay listing?.

The information configured in the Product Identifier section of your posting template is provided to eBay, but they don't always show it to buyers. They use it for their own cataloging and other elements like Google Shopping behind the scenes, but it's not exposed in the UI like a normal item specific field. If the values happen to match item specific fields and are set up for automatic matching then we'll provide those as item specifics as well and eBay will show them as an item specific, but they don't use the catalog values to generate anything for a user display.

Since eBay controls how all of that is displayed, it is best for a user to include that information in their ad template so they know it's going to be shown in their description.

What does 'The price for this item cannot be updated since it is a part of a sale' mean?

eBay has now added some new elements to the sale management tools that allow a price increase to be blocked while the item is on a sale.

To prevent the sale from ending on eBay, ChannelAdvisor has put a fallback measure in place in which the price will be dropped from the revision so that the rest of the listing can revise.

If this happens, you will see this error in the revision log:

Error Code: 21919248
Short Message: The price for this item cannot be updated since it is a part of a sale.
Long Message: The price for this item cannot be updated since it is a part of a sale. If you wish to update the price of this item, please remove it from sale, or use a sale setting that will always allow price updates.

Would I be able to set up Sales Maximizer for eBay in ChannelAdvisor?

You can use the Sales Maximizer in conjunction with items posted from ChannelAdvisor. However, there is currently no direct integration through ChannelAdvisor for this feature. No changes are needed to the way you post items from ChannelAdvisor. All Sales Maximizer related information such as bundle relationships and order level discount information must be configured directly at eBay. All orders will be imported as usual, but with the discounted rates.

What does the following error message within DE Locale posting account mean "Leer gelassene Artikelbezeichnung"?

eBay responded with the message:
Short Message: Leer gelassene Artikelbezeichnung.
Long Message: Sie mssen eine Artikelbezeichnung fr Ihren Artikel eingeben.

If you receive the above error message sometime google translate is iffy in relation to translating these eBay errors. Rather than translating, it's often better to add the Result Code column to the Listing Errors view on ChannelAdvisor (this is within the hidden columns view "Result Code") and then search that on eBay's dev site:

As you'll see there, result code 69 equates to:
Short error: Empty Title.
Long error: You must enter a title for your item.

To resolve this error you'll need to check that the Parent SKU and all the Child SKUs are sending a title. If you don't have a title specified you'll receive the above posting error.

Why can't I revise my eBay listing duration?

eBay does not allow a change to the duration of a listing after that listing has been live for two hours. Additionally, GTC listings are never permitted to have a change to duration. eBay Posting Error: Category entered is not catalog enabled

This indicates that your ad has picked up a catalog item from the eBay catalog and is submitting that to eBay with your listing. However, the category that the ad is pointing to does not support catalog items. It may be that the category you're using no longer allows catalog items at eBay or the category has been changed to a new category that doesn't support catalog items.

The easiest solution here is to remove any catalog mapping you have and either manually search for a new one or let a new catalog item be automatically mapped based on your configured options.

How do you lock image width when you have multiple image widths and would like to use the image chooser?

Edit the width width:300px to your favorite size and the code below will resize the main image produced by the image chooser for up to ten images. Add the code to the html source for the ad template and preview a sku ad to confirm:

When the image chooser puts the image in, it inserts an id. Essentially this code is styling each id.

In this particular example, the only dimension that is being constrained is the width, so all browsers will render the height variably to maintain the aspect ratio and not squish the image.

Please note that this code is asking you to make the size a set width or height.which may be a problem if you have any images that are really small. It could potentially stretch them if they are too much under the width or height constraint. Please also note, that images will be proportioned based on whichever constraint you use width or height in the code.

Does the primary image slot need to have a value specified for variation listing images to change?

Yes our system relies on this being populated in that primary image slot. For example the first one configured on the posting template, in order for us to send all of the images for a variation. So the image slot ITEMIMAGEURL1 must have an image specified for the images to change on a variation listing.

Why Open listings are displayed in Closed listings page?

If you see open listings being displayed in "Closed listings" page, check and make sure that the listing is also displayed in the "Open listings" page. If it is available under the "Open listings" page without any errors and is listed successfully, then there is no need to worry as this is a normal process. I have explained below the specific condition during which this scenario happens.

When a SKU gets an order in the eBay marketplace, it is also listed in the closed listings page with the updated "Qty Sold" field. The "Qty Sold" field reflects the total quantity that has been sold in eBay for that particular listing. For example if SKU "EXAMPLESKU" has in total 20 quantities, and out of that, if 6 gets sold in eBay, then you will see the listing being displayed on the "Closed listings" page with the value 6 in 'Qty sold' Column. It is also displayed in the "Open listings" page with the remaining 14 quantity. If you click on the 'Qty Sold' number for the corresponding SKU in the "Closed listings" page, it will take you to the "Sales->Orders" page.

As long as the listing has no other issues, it will be displayed in the open listings page and will be sent to eBay successfully. When the SKU sells out or is withdrawn from eBay for any other reason, that is only when the listing is removed from the open listings page, and placed in closed listings page. In this situation, you will notice the withdrawn symbol on the closed listings page activiated.

How do I remove the 2nd eBay Category from an eBay listing?

The 2nd eBay Category ID can only be removed by creating a new eBay Listing. You cannot remove the 2nd eBay Category from an existing listing via a revision. The listing must be withdrawn and relisted. See below for some additional pointers: -

* If a seller adds a 2nd eBay category to their eBay listing, they will be charged an extra fee for it.
* Just removing the 2nd eBay category from ChannelAdvisor is not enough.
* The 2nd eBay category, once applied, cannot be removed from a live listing via a revision. So the seller will continue to get charged for it, month after month, while the listing is live.
* This is an eBay limitation where they don't let you remove features with an extra fee from a live listing.
* The seller must withdraw the live listing and let us post a brand new listing.

eBay Restocking Fee Information

In order for the restocking fee to be applied, the client would need to opt into eBay's Return Center, which is done directly on eBay (My eBay >Account Settings > Site Preferences > Return Preferences).

** Things to take into consideration when dealing with the restocking fee **

1. eBay would only charge that fee on a return that is a "Buyer's remorse" and not an error of the seller or defected product (Buyer's Remorse - Means is the even if the item was delivered to the buyer as described and in timeframe specified in the listing, the buyer may return item if they did not like it, did not need it, etc. For more information on this, please see the following eBay article: http://www.ebay.com/gds/SNAD-vs-Buyers-Remorse-vs-Returns-CLARIFIED-/10000000175081948/g.html).

2. When properly enabled/opted into eBay's Return Center, the return policy description should NOT show on the listing. This is noted in the posting template for non-Business Policy users and for users on Business Policies.

Does ChannelAdvisor automatically withdraw eBay UPI Disputes?

ChannelAdvisor does not automatically withdraw eBay disputes once the customer submits payment. You will have to manually withdraw the dispute.

- Go to Sales > Orders/Transactions > eBay Unpaid Items.
- Click the Dispute Details icon for the order in question. This should open the Dispute Details page of the order.
- Click the "Withdraw Dispute" link and save your changes when you are done.

How do I override eBay's shipping calculations with a specific shipping amount for one buyer?

If you have a special case for a single user that needs different shipping rates than the standard calculation methods, you can override the shipping amount for that buyer by manually configuring the shipping rate for that order in your eBay account. This is only available before the buyer has completed the eBay Checkout process. In order to apply a special rate for the transaction:

* Go to the seller's My eBay at ebay.com and find the specific transaction
* Click the "Send Invoice To Buyer" option
* Select the approrpiate shipping option and enter the amount for shipping/postage

The buyer will receive an email from eBay with a link for the eBay Checkout. When they follow that link and go through the checkout process, the special shipping rate will be applied to the transaction. That shipping carrier option and rate will be imported with the order details into your ChannelAdvisor order record.

Can I set my eBay listings to same day handling?

Yes, eBay supports same day dispatch for sellers that can ship the same day the order is received.

In order to properly set expectations for this, eBay needs to know the daily cutoff time for shipping. Make sure that you calculate a time that leaves a sufficient buffer for the order to be imported from eBay, processed by your system and still make the daily shipping cutoff time for your business.

To do so, please configure the daily cutoff time directly at eBay in your seller account, then update your posting templates to have a 0 day handling time.
