Not all my Fitment / Parts Compatibilities listing on eBay?

When you submit manual fitment values to eBay, they will drop any that are invalid from the listing. As long as some fitment information is valid, the item will list with those that are accepted. In most cases, eBay will respond with a Warning message letting you know that some values have been dropped. You can find these warnings in Marketplaces > eBay > Listing Errors. If none are valid, an error preventing the listing from posting will be displayed in the Listing Errors view.

If you do receive these errors, you should check the official eBay Master Vehicle List to update your fitment values to what eBay will accept.

Why can't I revise my eBay listing duration?

eBay does not allow a change to the duration of a listing after that listing has been live for two hours. Additionally, GTC listings are never permitted to have a change to duration. How does the sync process work between CA and eBay for Blocked Bidders?

When you block bidders via CA Complete or your eBay account, it will automatically sync into the other system.

Note that currently you can only sync up to 5,000 buyer IDs.

Will a second chance offer be left for bidders who bid under the reserve price?

Second chance offers will be left for any under bidders whose bid was above the threshold price you indicate in the Sales > Settings view. This can includes bids that were above the threshold but below the reserve price. If you do not want second chance offers left for these bidders, then you will want to set your second chance offer threshold price greater than or equal to your reserve price.

You can review and change your Second Chance Offer settings in ChannelAdvisor under Sales > Settings. Scroll to the "Second Chance Offer Settings" section and select the price that you want to use as the lower threshold from the drop-down menu.

Does ChannelAdvisor support eBay Scheduled Listings?

The eBay Scheduled Listings functionality is available. While not relevant to most users, it can be useful for Daily Deal promotion listings. If you would like to use this functionality, please contact your Account Manager or the Customer Support team.

How Does ChannelAdvisor handle eBay listings from another tool?

In short, ChannelAdvisor Complete cannot invoice orders that were listed outside of CA.
We will only invoice sales for items listed by our system. If the buyer buys an item listed by our system as well as another of your items for the same eBay account that was not listed by our system then the sale data will be imported for the item listed by us but you will likely get an alert in our system that we could not create the order as found on eBay because not all of the items are in our system.

Note that in some cases eBay splits up multiple purchases from one buyer into separate orders/invoices, mainly if the shippng methods are not the same between the 2+ sales. In such cases we would import the one sale listed by us and there would be no alert in our system for the other sale of the item not listed by our system.

How can I add my skype details to my ebay listings?

In eBay directly go to My eBay > Preferences > Skype Preferences and click ?Add? to include a primary Skype name in your preferences and on the Skype Preferences page, click the ?Link a Skype Name? button. Once this is completed all future listings will have your skype details present.

How do I remove the ChannelAdvisor token from eBay?

To sever the communication between CA and eBay or any other third party and eBay:

- Log into your eBay account.
- Go to My eBay > Account > Site Preferences > Third Party Authorizations.
- Click "Revoke authorization" next to the third party whose access you want removed.

Can I setup automatic revisions for eBay listings?

Yes you can enable this feature in your eBay account settings:

1) Access Marketplaces > eBay > Settings > eBay Settings > Listings > Edit
2) Scroll to a section called "Revise Listings"
3) Check the box beside "Enable automatic inventory synchronization with open eBay listings"
4) Save and Exit

Once you have this enabled you can have automatic revisions sent to eBay. If you make changes to your SKU, Pricing etc they will revise on eBay within 24 hours.

How do I override eBay's shipping calculations with a specific shipping amount for one buyer?

If you have a special case for a single user that needs different shipping rates than the standard calculation methods, you can override the shipping amount for that buyer by manually configuring the shipping rate for that order in your eBay account. This is only available before the buyer has completed the eBay Checkout process. In order to apply a special rate for the transaction:

* Go to the seller's My eBay at ebay.com and find the specific transaction
* Click the "Send Invoice To Buyer" option
* Select the approrpiate shipping option and enter the amount for shipping/postage

The buyer will receive an email from eBay with a link for the eBay Checkout. When they follow that link and go through the checkout process, the special shipping rate will be applied to the transaction. That shipping carrier option and rate will be imported with the order details into your ChannelAdvisor order record.

How will data changes from eBay Automatic Revisions be shown on my listings?

The listing on eBay will be noted that it has been changed. You can see on the eBay listing page that there is a link for View All Revisions at the top of the description that will tell you which elements on a listing have been modified. The values are not shown, but the specific fields that have been modified are displayed.

How do I require eBay to ask for a phone number?

This setting must be configured directly in your eBay account.

- Log into your eBay account.
- Go to My eBay > Account > Site Preferences > Shipping Preferences.
- Select the option "Require phone number for shipping".
- Save.

When a buyer goes through checkout, they will be required to provide a phone number. That number will automatically be imported into CA along with the order.

Does blocking an item withdraw the associated eBay listing?

No. Blocking will only prevent your eBay ads from posting again; it will not withdraw your open listings. In order to end your listings, you will also need to withdraw the listings. This can be done from one of the following views using the "Withdraw Listings" button:

- Marketplaces > eBay > Open Listings
- Marketplaces > eBay > Ads
- Inventory > Products > All Products

Note that if using "Withdraw Listings" from the Inventory > Products > All Products view, this will also automatically block your SKU as well.

Is it possible to send a single child to eBay as a multi-variation listing?

No, it is against eBay's rules to have a single child submitted as a variation listing. Thus, we require two or more child items to create a variation listing. When there is only one child available, it is submitted as an individual listing in accordance with eBay's policies.

Why is the button not showing to import eBay Categories in the settings page?

The way our system is designed, stores-related settings are tied specifically to the "eBay Fixed Price" marketplace. You will need to enable "eBay Fixed Price" marketplace for your locale, even if you only sell on eBay Motors Fixed Price.

Under Marketplaces > eBay > Settings > eBay Settings view and click in the edit link beside eBay Marketplace Credentials. Then click on the Modify link under the Actions column, enable "eBay Fixed Price" and Save.

Once saved, you will then be able to import your store categories.

What is the difference of on-eBay sales and off-eBay sales, as it pertains to the Strikethrough pricing field on the posting template?

The "Sold on eBay" and "Sold off eBay" selections in the strikethrough section of the posting templates are used for particular pricing situations in some eBay locales.

Here's some information from the eBay documentation:

Sold On eBay - Used by the eBay UK and eBay Germany (DE) sites, this field indicates that the discount price (specified as Start Price) is the price for which the seller offered the same (or similar) item for sale on eBay within the previous 30 days. The discount price is always in reference to the seller's own price for the item.

If this field is set, eBay displays 'Was' in the UK and 'Ursprunglich' in Germany, next to the discounted price of the item. In the event both Sold Off eBay and Sold One Bay fields are set, Sold One Bay takes precedence.

Sold Off eBay - Used by the eBay UK and eBay Germany (DE) sites, this field indicates that the discount price (specified as Start Price) is the price for which the seller offered the same (or similar) item for sale on a web site or offline store other than eBay in the previous 30 days. These options are based on a rule that displays pricing in those countries. In the US it has no effect at this time. We would expect that for most people, Sold Off eBay would be the correct choice, but reach out to eBay's support if uncertain.

How can I find the Item Specifics for an eBay Category?

Looking for the eBay item specifics for a specific category? There are a lot of ways to find this information:

*Option One*
You can locate the various eBay categories and their corresponding Item Specifics by using the eBay SYI form. You can access the SYI form by following the directions below.

1. Visit ebay.com.
2. In the top right corner click on Sell > Sell an Item.
3. On the next page click on the Browse Categories link.
4. On the next page, you will be able to use the category map to locate the appropriate categories. Or if you know the category number, you can enter it in the bottom right corner.
5. The next page of the listing will display the Item Specifics for this category.

1. From within ChannelAdvisor go to Help > Channel Field Mappings.
2. Choose Country and eBay
3. Choose eBay UK (or eBay US, etc.) and click 'Show Categories'

Please keep in mind that you can only post to leaf categories. Thus you could post to "Computers/Tablets & Networking>Cables & Connectors>USB Cables, Hubs & Adapters", but you couldn't post to "Computers/Tablets & Networking>Cables & Connectors".

Why are my custom eBay Store categories not showing up correctly on eBay?

If your custom Store Categories for eBay are not displaying correctly on eBay, then it usually means that your eBay store settings are set up to display the eBay categories instead of your custom store categories. You can change this within your eBay account.

This can be done by going to your My eBay page and then go to:

Manage My Store>See More (Under store recommendations)>Then click the "change" link next to the "Use eBay categories to automatically categorize and display listings in your Storefront." option. Finally, select Store categories instead of eBay categories.

How can I limit how many Second Chance Offers Marketplaces sends out?

Anyone whose bid is above the threshold you've configured for Second Chance Offers will get the SCO at the price he/she bid for the item. The only way to limit the number of Second Chance Offers that are sent out is to limit the quantity of items available in your account.

That being the case, in order to make sure only one Second Chance Offer goes out for an item, you would need to have only a quantity of 2 for that SKU (1 for the actual listing and 1 for the Second Chance Offer).

What is the eBay Stock Photo option?

You can choose to use the eBay Stock photo option for the gallery image in the settings of the posting template. What this will do is take a stock photo from eBay's system for the item you are posting based on the search criteria you specify in the pre-filled item specifics for that ad. In the posting template settings, you will need to check the box for "Use Stock Photo For Gallery?" located in the "eBay Pre-filled Item Specifics (Catalog)" section. If you do not wish to use the Stock Photo option then you can leave this option unselected and use the normal gallery option with any image you wish to use.

Will my sales history be carried over to my next eBay listing?

For Fixed Price listings, sales history will be carried over from one listing to the next based on the following:

- If the new item is a multi quantity listing
- If the previous item was a multi quantity listing
- If the previous item had one or more sales (Last 14 days for a scheduled ad and last 60 days for a 'Post Now')
- If the previous item closed in last 7 days
- If the new item and previous item are using the same ad ID
- If the new ad has the same condition and category as the previous ad

Why aren't any of my eBay sales importing?

The most common case of this happening is when your eBay credentials are no longer valid because you have changed the eBay information, revoked the CA ability to process on your behalf, or the credentials have expired after their 18 month validity cycle. In all of these cases you will get account messages that your credentials will expire soon or have expired and need to be updated in order for us to process work on your behalf.

Account messages can be seen on the My Account > Messages > Message Center page where you can view the entire message, flag messages, or delete messages that you've already addressed.

You can update your eBay credentials by going to the Marketplaces > eBay > Settings > eBay Settings page and clicking the "Edit" link next to the "eBay Marketplace Credentials" header. From there, click "Modify" and re-enter your password and Save your changes.

Then use the "Verify Token" button to confirm your token is still valid. If your token fails, use the "click here" link next to "Token" and update your eBay token.

What is the maximum number of eBay accounts per ChannelAdvisor account.

In a single ChannelAdvisor posting account you can have up to 6 eBay accounts running at any single time. These are configured under Marketplaces > eBay > eBay Settings > eBay Marketplace Credentials.
