How do I convert my shipping calculation method to work on eBay Checkout?

The most popular shipping methods will work seamlessly with the eBay Checkout. If you are using Flat Shipping or Inventory Item Shipping rates, just configure the shipping amount for first and additional items on the posting template.

If needed, you can use Dynamic Shipping Tags to pick up the information from your inventory items.

If you use Third Party Calculated shipping, just configured the shipping options on the posting template to use the Calculated Shipping option.

You should also use the Calculated Shipping option for variable based on weight.

Please note that the eBay flat and calculated shipping rules are not currently supported.

Plans are to add these in the March 2011 update.

For the less frequently used variable total based on price or quantity, there is no equivalent in the eBay shipping calculation methods. Users that are using either of these shipping methods will need to reconsider how they calculate shipping and make adjustments to one of the shipping options available on eBay. While not ideal, it is likely best to convert to a flat rate shipping option and then add a discount rule for flat shipping when that functionality is available. ChannelAdvisor has expressed concern to eBay that this will have a negative impact on sellers using these shipping methods.
