Why doesn't the sitemap not display products in Premium Store?

Even with the 'SiteMap.ShowProducts' app config populated with true, the core ASPDOTNET code (runs the Premium Store application) doesn't allow the sitemap to display products when the total product count of your store is greater than 250.
